The MSc Nursing (Clinical Practice) programme helps you to develop valuable knowledge and skills in the areas of clinical leadership and practical research methods that can be applied in the workplace.



The MSc Nursing (Clinical Practice) programme helps you to develop valuable knowledge and skills in the areas of clinical leadership and practical research methods that can be applied in the workplace.



We aim to give you a strong theoretical and practical foundation in leadership, health system dynamics and research methods, culminating in a dissertation focused on your practice context.



Please note this programme is only currently only available as a pathway programme within UCD

Subjects taught

This is a one (academic) year programme, delivered over 2 trimesters.



Module

NMHS 44020 Evidence synthesis and translation (30 credit module)

Entry requirements

- Applicants must be registered as a nurse on a live register



- Applicants must be employed in clinical practice/management while undertaking the programme



- Experience in management is desirable



- Hold a Level 9 Graduate Diploma or Level 9 Higher Diploma in Nursing

Academic Transcripts including date and grading of Degree award (non UCD only)

Current photocopy of NMBI registration and PIN

Copy of Birth Certificate or Personal Pages of Passport (non UCD only)

Professional Reference Form

Evidence of proficiency in English language (applicants whose first language is not English)

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)



RPL may be granted in respect of individual modules if applicants can demonstrate that the modules' learning outcomes have been achieved through prior credentialled or experiential learning. In some cases, where an applicant does not meet the prerequisites for entry to a programme, an RPL application may be considered. Further information can be found in respect of this here.
