Sustainability for the Service Industry - Online or Cork

The Postgraduate Diploma in Business in Sustainability for the Service Industry is a Level 9 programme with the option to pursue an add-on semester to complete a Master of Business in Sustainability for the Service Industry.

Semester 1 Course Delivery

The programme will all be online (some live classes, some pre-recorded) with 2 days on campus (1 at the beginning of the semester and one mid-way through the semester).



Programme will run on Monday and Tuesday.



Designed to provide graduates with the knowledge and practical expertise to become sustainability champions, they will be able to identify sustainable solutions to real-world issues in-line with the overarching legislative requirements and make effective change in their organisations.



Graduates will be highly sought after in the growing number of organisations where sustainability has become a core focus and where Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria have become integral elements of strategy, operations, products and services.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a Level 8 qualification from any discipline. Those without a Level 8 qualification but with significant industry experience may be able to access the programme through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Graduates from this programme will be highly sought after due to their theoretical knowledge of sustainability dovetailed with their practical skillset to implement meaningful changes within service industry organisations. Currently, there is a distinct lack of employees with sustainability skills in the sector.



Progression

Students can go on to complete the Master of Business in Sustainability for the Service Industry - a Level 9, 30 ECTs add-on to the PG Dip.
