About us

Windward are a team of highly experienced hotel operators and investors with a hotel portfolio of approx. 2,000 keys* in Ireland and Continental Europe.

Founded in 2007, Windward is a leading hospitality management company, managing and operating hotels on behalf of their owners.

The Programme

Commencing in May 2025, the new Windward Graduate Management Programme is an 18-month, rotational programme designed to equip graduates with the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to become future leaders in the hospitality industry by providing comprehensive training and hands-on experience across various departments within our hotels.

The programme is structured into six 3-month rotations across different departments across:

  • Front Office
  • Reservations & Revenue Management
  • Food & Beverage
  • Housekeeping
  • Support Functions (Finance, HR, Sales & Marketing)
  • Ops Management

This rotational approach allows graduates to gain in-depth experience and an understanding of each department's operations and how they interconnect to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

In addition to the day-to-day experience, Graduate Managers will be enrolled on numerous additional qualifications to enhance their professional and personal development including Management Training Level 5, Train the Trainer and much more.

With guidance from General Managers and HR, the programme will be underpinned by a curriculum of learning objectives that the graduate must achieve to ensure they are on the right track. Each graduate will also be assigned a mentor within the hotel to provide support and guidance.

The overall objective of the programme is to create a pipeline to secure and train excellent future managers and leaders across the group.
