Who we are:

Do you feel passionate about becoming an investor and making a real difference to our clients’ futures?

Do you enjoy taking ownership of your own work?

We’ve been helping clients plan and invest for their futures for over 50 years. From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals.

We’re known for acting with integrity and thinking for the long-term. And across our organisation, we foster a welcoming, caring and inclusive culture where people feel respected, trusted and able to be themselves.

We don’t expect you to come straight in and know everything about what we do. As a graduate, and whatever you’ve studied, we’ll help make sure you get the most out of being a full-time employee.

The Team you will join:

The Solutions and Multi Asset team has expertise in three key disciplines: Solutions Design, Tactical Asset Allocation and Strategy Selection. Core to all our investment decisions is the consideration and management of risk. As well as managing a range of different products drawing on these investment disciplines, the team is also a provider of investment related services.

What you’ll be doing:

On our two-year rotation programme, you’ll go straight into the action – experiencing the work first-hand and rapidly learning how the Solutions and Multi Asset team delivers for our investors. As a valuable member of the team, you’ll:

  • get to see our investment processes and learn how we manage money
  • work on live projects to build your understanding of risk and investment
  • attend research meetings, give your opinions on markets and industry insights, and learn how to justify your points as part of a community of experts
  • rotate across different teams from macro-economic research to tactical allocation research and manager selection research
  • develop your knowledge of vital topics like investment strategies across equities, commodities, bonds, property and more, learning about the behaviour of different asset classes in the markets
  • You'll take an active part in research meetings with both third party fund managers and colleagues across the different investment areas within Fidelity. During these you'll give your opinions on markets and industry insights, and learn how to justify your points as part of a community of experts.
  • Research will be the main part of your role here. Assimilating knowledge and being able to read and summarise information quickly will be instrumental to your success. You might, for example, analyse the week's topical developments, including economic data releases and policy announcements. The wider group of Portfolio Managers and Anatysts would then discuss and debate related investment implications.
  • You'll see how we build multi asset portfolios that deliver in the short and long term, and how we select the right talent to manage funds. Crucialty, you'll research alternative investment strategies across equities, commodities, bonds, property and more, learning about the behaviour of different asset classes in the markets.

The difference you’ll make:

You’ll contribute to positive, meaning work that make a difference to our clients. You’ll help them invest and plan for the futures they want. You’ll provide invaluable support to your team, too.

How you’ll be supported :

You’ll start the graduate programme with a comprehensive induction, where you’ll be introduced to investment management and how it fits into the City and the financial markets. After this, you’ll rotate across different teams to build your skills and knowledge. As you progress, we’ll prepare you to sit the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 exam.

New joiners will be invited to the Investment Management (IM) Induction & Technical training which will be hosted by the IM Academy, where Investment Professionals train Investment Professionals of the future. The training will provide an introduction the IM functions and equip you with technical knowledge, skills, and behaviours that will enable you to succeed in your role.

Support is part of our culture, so you’ll have a buddy and a mentor to help you whenever you need. And you’ll join a close-knit early careers community, with plenty of social and networking events to help you find your feet and feel at home.

What we’re looking for:

It’s who you are that matters here, rather than what you studied. We look for graduates who are analytical, eager to learn and ready to take on a challenge. A genuine curiosity about investment is vital, as is a lively interest in our work and our industry. And, as we’re an international organisation, we’ll need you to speak English.

We’ll also need you to:

  • be graduating in 2025 (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree)

Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we. We are proud of our inclusive culture and encourage applications from the widest mix of talent, whatever your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, social background and more.
